बंद     कमरे से निकल के देखो , जिंदगी को अपनी नज़र से देखो एक अलग ही दुनिया छुपी है तुम में  अपने अंदर भी जरा उतर के देखो  कतरा कतरा पिघल जाएगा वजूद  एक दिन भीड़ में ठहर के देखो  क्यों सिमट के बैठे हो तनहा तनहा  किसी की सांसों में बिखर के देखो  क्यों  किताबों में गुम रहा   करते हो  रेत  में फिसलो चांदनी में नहा कर देखो                                           - प्रदीप गुप्ता     

घर से निकले हैं मंजिल पे पहुँच जायेंगे  क्या हुआ जमाना     हमारे साथ नहीं  हाँ, मेरे साथ तेरी मोहब्बत का उजाला है  इस लिए मेरे कारवां को कोई रात नहीं  अब इन  सन्नाटों     का कोई खौफ  नहीं डर    तो रहता मेरे आस पास      नहीं  जुनुं  सीने में सैलाब बन के बह निकला  जंग   जीत ही लेंगे फ़िक्र की बात नहीं  बीच    रस्ते  से      लौट आये कितने  जिनको अपने आप पे विश्वास  नहीं                                 -प्रदीप गुप्ता 

एक लम्हा हूँ मुझे जी कर देखो  एक कतरा हूँ मुझे जी कर देखो  तुम मेरा वजूद खोजने आये  आसमां पे जाओ जमीं पे देखो मेरी  चाहत  कहाँ ले जायेगी  सफ़र लंबा है कई सदी तक देखो   मेरी साँसों में कुछ अटकता है  इक नज़र तो जरा इधर देखो  इसमें सदियों की चुभन बसती  है  मेरे चेहरे की लकीरें पढ़ कर देखो  रंग जीवन में कितने घुल जायेंगे  पास आओ रुख बदल कर देखो                                     - प्रदीप गुप्ता  

The Election Commission of India has recently swung into action to ensure free and fair  polls in April and May this year .  The EC comprising the Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. V.S. Sampat,  and Election Commissioners  Mr. H.S. Brahma and Mr. Nasim Ahmed Zaidi held wide ranging meetings with political parties and election machinery in Maharashtra  on Thursday  and  Friday . The Commission met with the national and state-level political parties  on Thursday here in Mumbai , while it held extensive meetings with the State Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DG Police, DG Income Tax and senior electoral officers  on Friday , to assess the level of preparedness. ग़ज़ल  मैं चल तो  रहा हूँ  फिर भी   वहीं  हूँ  ये कैसा सफ़र है जिसमें रहता यहीं हूँ  मुलाकात    तुम से कर भी   रहा हूँ  मगर फिर भी    तनहा बैठा यहीं हूँ  उड़ने को मैं इक खुला आसमान  हूँ  पीने   को बस   एक प्यासी नदी हूँ  पढ़ने को    सारी  उमर  मैं   पढ़ा हूँ  मगर  सीखने   को कोरी जमीं  हूँ  कहने को सब कुछ यहाँ घट रहा है  मगर इसमें मैं तो कहीं भी नहीं हूँ  जो काल की भी समझ  से परे है  उसे सोच कर उसके  पहलू नशीं   हूँ                                                     - प्रदीप गुप्ता @pradeep gupta

I frequently travel abroad and where ever I visit just try to taste and enjoy premium drinks of that region. I tried Single Malts of Scotland, Bourbon of US, Blue Agave Tequila of Mexico, Champagne of France, Grappa of Italy, Sherry of Spain, Victoria Bitter and Copper Beer of Australia, Vodka of Russia or Finland, Caribbean Rums made from sugarcane juice, Rakia made of Apricots, Plums, Grapes from Bulgarian Regions, Borovicka made from Juniper Berry of Slovakia and thoroughly enjoyed. These are some of the drinks which have made their respective region proud and connoisseurs globally long for. Whenever you expect some friends or VIP guests at home, you try to fetch some bourbon or single malt, if occasion is special then order champagne or try some exotic stuff available from your last foreign visit.
