To be or not to be : traditional taste of Whiskey  or flavored one  Dude,  we are talking about Whiskey not the stuff being sold here in India in the name of Whiskey which is technically Rum. I am watching a new trend in Whiskey , the flavored Avatar.  Think about hint of sweet fruit, honey  or cake in whisky? The connoisseur like you or me may recoil at the thought but whisky manufacturers have already warmed up with the idea. There is a stuff called Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple, which has sweet, not tangy, notes of green apple. Tai O : Last surviving fishing  village of Hong Kong  I visited Tai O , a Fishing Village very close to Hong Kong in the year 2012. Tai O  is just an arm reach away from hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Hong Kong. It is a picturesque fishing area reminding its  rich past.  Tai O is accessible by taking Bus 11 from Tung Chung Station which was not very far from Shangrila where we were staying. Once reaching Tai O, we passed through an avenue full of street food stalls and small traditional shops , there were plenty shops selling dried seafood, you can see sky scrappers of Hong Kong from the village. The fish maw, salted fish and fermented shrimp paste were popular souvenir items in the village. The real charm of this historic community are stilt houses built long back along the river bank.
