Shyamla Tal : Lake at 1500 meter in Boom Range of Uttrakhand  If you ask me which the beautiful hill abode closest to plains in Uttar Pradesh , my answer may surprise you. It is Shyamla Tal in Champawat District of Uttrakhand.  I have vivid memory of the place. First time I touched Sukhi Daang on way to Pithoragarh in 1982. The distance from nearest plain area Tanakpur is only 29 km. It was one of the most undeveloped place at that time, after steep drive from 100 meter to 1500 meter in a short span of 29 km , you need little pause to relax your hand constantly on your steering. Sadly there was only one small Tea Stall offering tea and unbranded biscuit. But very few travelers knew that there is a beautiful lake on this height.  I think it was God providence that due to land slide the traffic was blocked for a day. Pahadi Tale  Bhai Prakash Shroff has enticed me to write about flora fauna of Pahadi which now loosely covers Dindoshi, Infinity IT Park and the entire area of Aarey colony in the Goregaon Suburb . This area roughly covers 17 square km of greenery in the middle of concrete structures unimaginable in any other metro city in India.  I am a part of the group called Hill Walkers and keep exploring the entire forest. Some of our group members have minute details of jungle eco system. You will be surprised that they have developed strong sense of smell over time that they can easily spot the shit of leopard or Bibtya and tell when exactly he was on that spot. And from my own experience,  I can proudly say that this kind of jungle is simply unthinkable in any other urban space. Ijen: Blue Flame Marvel  I was in Banyuwangi during first week of December 2018. This small sea side town is a part of East Java in Indonesia. In fact , Bali is only ten to fifteen minutes boat ride from here.  Many Indian know about Bali which is Indonesian State  predominated by Hindus and you can find footprints of rich Hindu culture every where.
