वारली कला  शैली में बदलाव की लहर  वारली कला  शैली  के बारे में पहली बार मैंने महाराष्ट्र पर्यटन के विज्ञापन में पढ़ा था। इस शैली में नृत्य करती, शिकार करती और खेती बाड़ी करती  छोटी छोटी मानवीय आकृतियों ने मुझे आकर्षित किया। भूरी पृष्टभूमि में यह सफ़ेद आकृतियां सीधे ग्रामीण परिवेश में ले गयीं . उत्सुकता बढ़ी तो गूगल पर छानबीन की , पता चला कि इस कला शैली  का उद्गम दहाणु के आस पास कहीं है. अब तक तो मैं दहाणु को चीकू नगरी। के रूप में ही जनता था. मैंने फैसला किया कि इस इलाके की यात्रा की जाय और इस अनन्य लोक कला के बारे में खोज निकला जाय।  मेरे चित्रकार मित्र सुजीत पोद्दार इस यात्रा में मेरे साथ बने रहे. Warli Tribal Village Ganjad I come to know about Warli folk paintings through a Maharashtra Tourism brochure. What attracted me in the  paintings multitudes of tiny human forms hunting, dancing or cultivating the land transporting me to the pastoral environment. I googled and found that the origin of this art form is somewhere near Dahanu. Till a month back to me Dahanu was land of Cheeku. I decided to take a journey to the area and find out the origin of this unique folk art. I traveled with my artist friend Sujiet Poddar. The way traditionally women folk used to draw on the wall Dahanu is only 135 km from Mumbai.The best way to reach this place is fast Dahanu locals started few years back. I took the fast local from Borivali. Once the train crosses Virar, it is difficult to believe that the area is so close to a cosmopolitan city. Pine Lake स्वच्छ धवल है मेरी लेक पाइन से आच्छदित लेक बारिश  जब भी झूम  के आती तभी लबालब यह भर जाती दूर दूर से उड़  कर  आते पक्षी इधर   समय बिताते  मृग शावक भी विचरण करते मेरे संग कुलांचे भरते जब भी मन विचलित हो डोले लेक मुझे आगोश में ले ले 

ठण्डी अब के खूब  पड़ी है  बर्फ पडी है बर्फ पडी है  कैसी  मार पडी मौसम पर  मुंह से शब्द निकलें जम कर  बाहर फ़ैली  बर्फ की चादर  लौटें इस पर पैर फैला कर   चलो बर्फ की बाल बनाएं   खेलें मिल कर ठण्ड भगाएं 

Em Square Studio  is run by S. Paul Mathew, who had worked for long time for Crompton Greaves. He gave his job  for his passion for music and started this studio in Goregaon East. Apart from giving his studio on hire for recording, dubbing and croma. In between,   Paul does  find time to work for his first love i.e. music, he goes to Pandit Triloki for riyaz, record variety of songs when studio is not engaged for outside work thus created good repertoire. Today he has taken his passion to next level, organizing a program Uttar Dakshin, a mix of Tamil and Hindi songs, and few fusions of both the languages. The beauty of this program was that all the musicians were not knowing Tamil language but composed for the Tamil songs, another brownie point is that except Farhan and Prince Singh all other singers S Paul, Sameer Vijay Kumar, P. Ganesh, Vishwanathan twin Swati & Sweta, Divya Venugopal all were not Hindi speaking but sung Hindi songs with equal ease. ...

Battery Dance of new York City Enthralled Contemporary Dance Lovers Mumbai 13th January Jonathan Hollander founded Battery Dance in New York City in the year 1976. He choreographed more than 75 works of contemporary dance and taken these works to five continents. His works are in style of expressive  dance  that combines elements of several  dance  genres including  modern , jazz, lyrical and classical ballet.His works are known for   connecting  the mind and the body through fluid  dance  movements. Few days back, my neighbor, friend and sound designer of national repute Subash Sahu visited me to inform me about his documentary on  Bollywood's  pioneer sound recordist Mangesh Desai . During the discussion, I asked him whether he knows by any chance Sajjan Chaudhry from the sound recordist fraternity. He than countered how I know him.  I explained to him that in early eighties he came to Bombay to start his career in sound recording. He said,' If you are talking about Sajjan Chaudhry, Foley Artist than he is leading name in Bollywood.' I took his contact number from Sahoo  and called Sajjan.
