क्रिकेट का खेल और राष्ट्र भक्ति  भारत देश के आम नागरिक के राजनीतिक चर्चा के साथ ही  साथ दो और प्रमुख शग़ल हैं क्रिकेट और फ़िल्में. फ़िल्मों के बारे में आज कल ख़ूब बात हो रही है क्रिकेट के बारे में कभी होती है कभी नहीं होती है . अगर भारतीय खेल प्रेमियों( इसका अर्थ कुछ समय के लिए क्रिकेट समझ लीजिए) के लिए क्रिकेट के खेल से पाकिस्तान को निकाल दिया जाए  तो उन्हें ऐसा लगता है जैसे बिना साम्भर चटनी के सूखा सूखा दोसा खाने को मिल रहा हो . चाहे टेस्ट सीरीज  हो , वन डे या फिर ट्वेंटी ट्वेंटी , अगर भारतीय टीम जीत गई तो ऐसा लगता है जैसे पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ कोई बड़ा युद्ध जीत लिया हो और ख़ुदा न ख़ास्ता अगर भारतीय टीम हार गई तो फिर खिलाड़ियों की जात  और देश के प्रति निष्ठा को ले कर चाय की टपरी से लेकर पान के गुटके की दुकान पर जुटे लोगों के बीच लम्बी लम्बी बहसें. कुछ कुछ ऐसा ही हाल पाकिस्तान  में भी रहता है  अगर उनकी क्रिकेट टीम मैदान में भारत से हारने लगे तो कमेंट्री का प्रसारण रोक के फ़िल्मी गाने लगा देना , हारने पर अपने ही टीवी का स्क्रीन तोड़ देना आम बात रही है . ...

He is a London-based, multinational urbanism consultant, author.    Co-author Tigran Haas is associate professor of urban planning and urban design, former director of Civitas Athenaeum Laboratory (CAL).  This is a thoughtful book, a timely reminder of the vital importance of urban context. Remembering Olivia Newton John  Olivia Newton-John touched my teenager heart in the 1970s with her songs If Not For You, Have You Never Been Mellow, I Honestly Love You, A Little More Love, and Sam. My Latest Book Read : Capitalism Without Capital -The Rise of The Intangible Economy by Jonathan Haskel and Stian Westlake  Authors of this book - Jonathan is professor of Economics at Imperial College London and Stian is a senior fellow at Nesta.  The premise of this book is simple : in nineteenth and twentieth century capitalists owned  factories and workers supplied labor , now a lot of things changed, now most of the assets are intangible, this has changed the way industries and businesses function. In most of the businesses investment in intangible assets now exceeds that in tangible assets. The authors argue that these assets are fundamentally different from tangible assets because of the “four S’s”: scalability, sunkenness, spillovers, and synergies. These properties combine to produce greater uncertainty in the value of intangible investments. Whitney Island - Hidden gem of Washington State. Seattle, the commercial hub of Washington State is one of the most green area in the USA , within a span of few miles you can see lush green hilly terrains, snow cap peaks, falls, lakes and ofcourse mighty Pacific Ocean. Not very far from the downtown Seattle there are 10 islands which are hidden from most of the tourists . And Whidbey Island is one of them. We recently visited Whidbey Island and realised that it is not fully explored as a tourist destination. We reached  Mukilteo north of Seattle, where we took a ferry for the Island. The service is good and can get a ferry upto 1 am in the night , the ferry can take 150 vehicles and 200-250 passengers in a single go. The ferry takes to you to the south of the island within a little over half an hour. Thor: Love And Thunder  Yesterday I saw the latest film  in the Thor series at AMC Elderwood Bothel .  My initial reaction was that it is  a familiar story from our own scriptures is being unfolded on the screen with lot of VFX and SFX in different drama costumes.  The movie gives me mixed  feelings : deeply weird, and deeply wonderful triumph. It’s a movie that dares to be seriously uncool, and somehow ends up all the cooler for it — sidesplittingly funny, but of sentimental, and so tonally daring that it’s a miracle it doesn’t collapse. The Gorr-centric cold-open is as dark as the MCU gets, but this is also a Thor romcom with a loved-up ABBA montage, and a Viking longboat pulled through space by a pair of gigantic screaming goats who nearly run away with the film.
