Thor: Love And Thunder 
Yesterday I saw the latest film  in the Thor series at AMC Elderwood Bothel . 
My initial reaction was that it is  a familiar story from our own scriptures is being unfolded on the screen with lot of VFX and SFX in different drama costumes. 
The movie gives me mixed  feelings : deeply weird, and deeply wonderful triumph. It’s a movie that dares to be seriously uncool, and somehow ends up all the cooler for it — sidesplittingly funny, but of sentimental, and so tonally daring that it’s a miracle it doesn’t collapse. The Gorr-centric cold-open is as dark as the MCU gets, but this is also a Thor romcom with a loved-up ABBA montage, and a Viking longboat pulled through space by a pair of gigantic screaming goats who nearly run away with the film. It’s a movie about midlife crisis that feels like you’re watching one in action, with its gourmet gods, glorious intergalactic biker-chicken battle, and Guns N’ Roses galore as the ‘November Rain’ solo is deployed perfectly. 
And come the closing reel, when the true meaning of its title is unveiled, it leaves our hero in a place so sweet and surprising, one will be truly moved. It’s a Taika Waititi movie, then — we could watch his cinematic guitar solos all day.

Interestingly Chris Hemsworth's family also appears in this film: -His sons Sasha Hemsworth and Tristan Hemsworth play young Thor in the film. His daughter India Rose Hemsworth plays Gorr's daughter Love. His brother Luke Hemsworth plays a stage actor portraying Thor. His wife Elsa Pataky plays a former lover of Thor!
Another shining star of the movie is definitely Natalie Portman. With this movie, Natalie Portman returned  to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jane Foster. After her experiences working on Thor: The Dark World (2013) where she couldn't get out of her contract after initial director Patty Jenkins was replaced, Portman had decided to retire from doing any more MCU films. But when it was revealed she had a voice cameo in Avengers: Endgame (2019), this suggested Portman was game for another Thor movie. This was officially confirmed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con when Portman walked on stage and director Taika Waititi handed her a Mjølnir prop, also confirming that Jane would become The Mighty Thor in this film.
Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who to his surprise inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance.
The movie is partly shot on beautiful beach locations in Australia.

A Peep Into Life Of A Stand-up Comedian - Punit Pania

I met Punit Pania yesterday at Independence Brewing Company. an happening watering hole in Lokhandwala area just before his stand-up comedy act. In fact he was generous enough to share his space with The Book  Club event on first floor of pub, he shared his journey from a safe Corporate Den to the wild world of stand-up comedians. Punit is a Non-Gujju born and broughtup in Gujju dominated Society in Kandivali East as a protected child, where his parents did not allow him to travel any place beyond the reach of auto rikshaw ! Not only that her mother was so protective that she was happy to concede her son's intent to start a pathological lab in the area so that he come every day for maa ke haath kaa dopahar ka khana ! Elton John is my most favorite singer. He is a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer all rolled into one. In terms of sales, he is the fourth-best-selling music artist worldwide . In 1998, he was knighted by British Queen this got ‘Sir’ title, but for music lover like me whether he is Sir or not a Sir , it is immaterial.
