Lockdown Reading : Use Your Head - Tony Byzan I re-read Tony Buzan’s book  ‘Use Your Head’ in these lockdown days. The book was published in 1984 for the first time but even after 36 years, it is relevant.  Tony is  inventor of the revolutionary Mind-Mapping technique, and acquired fame by improving the memory and learning capability of a lot  of people.  The book is based on the research into the workings of the human brain. Tony presents an ingenious system for training the memory to achieve extraordinary feats. The book provides surprising, yet simple, techniques for remembering names, dates, phone numbers and appointments. Special programmes are given for card players and there is a useful section for students on how to attain optimum examination results. Buzan reveals his methods with engaging enthusiasm, drawing upon extraordinary, surreal images to illustrate how the mnemonic system works. Lockdown Read : Man’s Search for Meaning .. It is one of the great books of our time.  The book has nearly one hundred printings in English—in addition to having been published in twenty-one other languages. The  English editions alone have sold more than three million copies.  I first read Search for Meaning  by Viktor E. Frankel  longtime ago on recommendation of my English Professor Dr Prem Sagar while in College. He told me  that this book is  to be revisited every couple of years. As a 21 -year-old, I had found this book impactful. I decided to revisit this book during this lockdown. And I do not have regrets. Lockdown Read : Ego Is The Enemy .. This book by Ryan Holiday is  full of anecdotes loosely tied together in three sections: Aspire, Success, and Failure. If you are looking for inspiration to get you through a pit of despair, and can't stand empty platitudes, this book is for you.
