New Flavor of Beer

Now boring taste of  beer is under great transformation. New experiments  are enriching the range of beer and a more choice for the beer lovers. I have tasted two new flavors viz., Mango and Strawberry which I simply loved. You may try to make it at home. It is not very complicate process, easy steps to follow : Mango Beer  Ingredients: 1.50 kg Pale Malt* 0.15 kg crystal malt* 3.0 gram Cascade (boil 55 min.) 1.50  kg Riped Mangoes, cold pressed Dry Yeast Process First crush grains and start to boil. Then pour entire contents of pot into primary after cooling. It is fermented in primary  at 15 degrees for  two days, then 17 degrees for seven days. It is then racked to secondary in which cold  pressed mango pulp is added and matured for three weeks. Lord Padmanabham Temple : Deja Vu Feeling

Image
A year back, I was watching a news channel. It was showing a news item about a temple located in Trivandrum, having secret underground chambers containing huge treasure trove of  jewelry and artifacts of gold, precious stones and other precious metals. The channel also claimed that if the  treasure in these secret chambers is properly valued and accounted for than it will cross one Trillion Dollar. I t was announced that a hidden treasure vault had been discovered beyond the already well-documented Vault B inside. Adding to last treasure findings in several other vaults, the researchers are estimating could much more than the previous estimates. But that is where the problem starts, nobody wants to dare open the hidden inner sanctum.  Like all hidden treasure stories, this Temple has been a fascination for many years, and one shrouded in mystery and fear. It was also rumored two enormous Cobras are  protecting the innermost hidden chamber. To make matters worse, l...

Long Forgotten Indian Fruits

Now a days, you may find Washington Apple, Florida Orange, Thai Tamarind, Fuji Apple, Dragon Fruit, Kiwi Fruit even in the smallest town across the country but there are many Indian fruits which have lost shelf space and  disappearing from the market place. I will try to discuss about the  fruits which were available in small towns and villages during the season but now not easily available.  First one I remember Khirni which used to be our favorite fruit in our childhood days. These golden yellow berries with a melting fruity sweetness is grown in Central India as well as Deccan Peninsula. It is not seen in market as it is available for a very short period in May, just when the summer season begins. It is also grown in tropical regions around the world and popularly known as Rayan or Mimusops.  A small, translucent, orb shaped fruit, Langash is most often found in Southern States especially in Nilgiri hill region. It can be quite sour when unripe but is perfe...

Current Net Neutrality Issues

These days we are seeing lot of TV debates and reading so many reports on net neutrality. It is little difficult for an ordinary person to understand why it is so much important from his own point of view. How the issue cropped-up ? Recently, the US Federal Communications Commission ruled to repeal net-neutrality guidelines, which had suggested equal rights to the internet for all, and prevented broadband providers from favoring their own apps and services. Commission’s chairman Ajit Pai  said that the US government will "stop micromanaging the internet", from hereon. What  is the concept of net neutrality? It is a principle that says all data on the internet should be treated equally. Internet Providers should not artificially slow down or speed up any website or service, or put different price tags on different parts of the internet, to benefit one or more entities. The world without net neutrality If net neutrality will not be observed,  In...

Image
