It is purely discretion  of host country to grant nationality or Permanent Resident status to the immigrant  workers. But in USA the position  is slightly different. Knowledge workers  are virtually running backbone of technology there, with their sheer hard work and cutting edge skills . So it is in the own  interest of US Government to give these relentless workers their dues . They work very hard to find niche, secure respectable living and thus admired for this unique quality in US Administration circles also but the fact is that  no body is bothered abot their well being. Recently thousands of such knowledge workers  felt happy that finally their valuable contribution to US economy and tech backbone is  appreciated. They received  letter from US Administration saying that their Green Card request is processed after almost 5-6 years,enthusiastically they started getting various documents, fixing up various  medical appointments....

 Highways and fast cars have been associated with American identity. यात्रा वृत्तांत - स्पोकेन  : सूर्यवंशियों के क्षेत्र में     भारत में अमरीका को पूँजीवादी व्यवस्था कह कर काफी कोसा  गया है और हमारे साधू ,संत और महात्मा उसे  मध्य वाशिंगटन राज्य के फ़ार्म  भोग विलासिता में डूबी हुई संस्कृति कह कर फब्तियां कसते  रहे हैं. सच यह है कि  आज तक तकनीक , प्रोद्योगिकी और यहाँ तक कि परियोजनाओं के लिए उन्ही की ओर  तकते रहे हैं , और ये  साधू संत सबसे ज्यादा पैसा वहीँ पर खोले हुए आश्रमों  से या फिर वहां के अनुनायियों से कमाते आ रहे हैं।  यही नहीं, आज भी हर  अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंच पर भारतीय राजनीतिज्ञ अमरीकी इंडोर्समेंट की प्रतीक्षा करते रहते हैं।  अमरीका के किसी भी शहर में जा कर देख लीजिये , वहां के सामान्य नागरिकों को  योग और भारतीय चिकित्सा पद्द्यति  के बारे में जो जानकारी है वह शायद किसी सामान्य  भारतीय को भी अचंभित कर दे। यही नहीं वे सप्ताह में पांच दिन पूरी लगन  से अपने कार्य या व्यवसाय में लगे रहते हैं. फिर अपनी है...
