JINGLE : SIZE MAIN CHOTA BUT JABARDAST EFFECTIVE MEDIUM

JINGLE : SIZE MAIN CHOTA BUT JABARDAST EFFECTIVE MEDIUM If I play tune of a jingle before you, it is for sure and certain that you will immediately identify the product. ‘Kya Swad Hai Jindgi Mai’is responsible for selling lakhs of Cadbury chocolate Bars. This is one of the recent example of jingle power. There are a number of jingles such as ‘Jab Main Chota Bachcha Tha’ of Bajaj Bulbs , off the air long back but the tune still is remembered. Jingles are really very chota in size but have jazardust power to imprint the marketing message into hearts of consumer. Pepsi company aired its first jingle in 1939 on radio, it was so popular that it was played into jukeboxes and become a hit record. Many years later Coke did the same thing in 1971 with ‘I’d like to teach the world to sing’. Coke tried the same trick here in India, Prasoon Joshi is rocking the nation with ‘Bahar Se Hain Alag Alag, andar se hain same ah same ah…’Air Tel roped up A.R.Rehman to compose its signature tune, the ri...

FILM LENGTH : TRIM IS FIT

FILM LENGTH: TRIM IS FIT ! It is not long ago, most of the Indian commercial films used to take their own time to tell a story, essentially studded with ‘n’ number of song-dance sequences, comic interludes and lot of rona dhona. In fact, the audiences of that time had no complaints as their entertainment was limited. Having put hard earned money for tickets, they did not mind watching long films. Remember AVM blockbuster of forties ‘Vedala Ulagam,’ it was having as many as 25 songs! Still the audience was engrossed and glued to it as it showcased joint Hindu family and its rich wedding ceremonies. Normally Hollywood films run one to two hours. Of course, there are few exception like, second world war classic ‘From Here to Eternity’, ‘Gone with the Wind’, biblical extravaganzas ‘Benhur’ and ‘Te...
