क्रिकेट का खेल और राष्ट्र भक्ति  भारत देश के आम नागरिक के राजनीतिक चर्चा के साथ ही  साथ दो और प्रमुख शग़ल हैं क्रिकेट और फ़िल्में. फ़िल्मों के बारे में आज कल ख़ूब बात हो रही है क्रिकेट के बारे में कभी होती है कभी नहीं होती है . अगर भारतीय खेल प्रेमियों( इसका अर्थ कुछ समय के लिए क्रिकेट समझ लीजिए) के लिए क्रिकेट के खेल से पाकिस्तान को निकाल दिया जाए  तो उन्हें ऐसा लगता है जैसे बिना साम्भर चटनी के सूखा सूखा दोसा खाने को मिल रहा हो . चाहे टेस्ट सीरीज  हो , वन डे या फिर ट्वेंटी ट्वेंटी , अगर भारतीय टीम जीत गई तो ऐसा लगता है जैसे पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ कोई बड़ा युद्ध जीत लिया हो और ख़ुदा न ख़ास्ता अगर भारतीय टीम हार गई तो फिर खिलाड़ियों की जात  और देश के प्रति निष्ठा को ले कर चाय की टपरी से लेकर पान के गुटके की दुकान पर जुटे लोगों के बीच लम्बी लम्बी बहसें. कुछ कुछ ऐसा ही हाल पाकिस्तान  में भी रहता है  अगर उनकी क्रिकेट टीम मैदान में भारत से हारने लगे तो कमेंट्री का प्रसारण रोक के फ़िल्मी गाने लगा देना , हारने पर अपने ही टीवी का स्क्रीन तोड़ देना आम बात रही है . ...

He is a London-based, multinational urbanism consultant, author.    Co-author Tigran Haas is associate professor of urban planning and urban design, former director of Civitas Athenaeum Laboratory (CAL).  This is a thoughtful book, a timely reminder of the vital importance of urban context. Remembering Olivia Newton John  Olivia Newton-John touched my teenager heart in the 1970s with her songs If Not For You, Have You Never Been Mellow, I Honestly Love You, A Little More Love, and Sam.
