Right from its inception, films are selling dreams, that is why film people are known as dream sellers or dream merchant. To lure viewers these dream merchants capture best locales. Often our bollywood producers are blamed to add a song and dance sequence or two shot in exotic locations even if there is no demand from the script. This quest to capture exotic locations hs taken our producers to all the five continents. With the slow down of world economy, countries are looking for alternate revenue sources. Tourism is one such means. In case a location is shown in a movie it will be seen by lacs and crore of movie lovers, out of which many would like to visit that place. For Bombytes, Sunday is a very important day of the week when they take longer sleep and get up at ease. So to see a crowd of more than 1000 people ready to run for a cause that too for Saving Girl Child in the early morning is a sort of experience. For us, such occasion brings us an opportunity to run but also to meet so many friends in our neighborhood with whom we meet once in a while. A Date with Thai Traditional Dancers

Yesterday,I got an opportunity to attend Traditional Thai Dance performance at NCPA, Nariman Point.Dancers were from Rajbhatt University, Thailand. Surprisingly, the whole dance sequences as well as background music scores were no different from our folk tradition, Their subtle moments mesmerised and regaled the audience . What is praiseworthy, Thai people have preserved its tradition and culture in the purest form. The event  was organised by Royal Thai Trade Commission,Bombay, the objective was very business like, to get bigger pie from new breed of middle class Indian Tourists who have money and lust to visit a phoren land.    First, little bit about the dance forms showcased at performance.
