It was around 6.45 in the morning today, we headed towards Joggers Track, Lokhandwala to be a part of Minithon organised by Rotary Club Green City.

 For Bombytes, Sunday is a very important day of the week when they take longer sleep and get up at ease. So to see a crowd of more than 1000 people ready to run for a cause that too for Saving Girl Child in the early morning is a sort of experience.

 For us, such occasion brings us an opportunity to run but also to meet so many friends in our neighborhood with whom we meet once in a while.

 The Run was divided in three categories : Minithon 8 km, Woman Run 5 km and Run for Fun 2.5 km., the event was flagged by local Corporator Ms. Jyotnsna Dighe. Lokhandwala is a locality where Film and TV celebrities are in abundance, if you throw a stone, most likely it will fall at a flat belonging to a celebrity, but unfortunately except Mona Singh no other celebrity was seen at the venue.For them money for endorsement is more important.

 The participation fee was Rs 200.00 which is much higher than the similar events happens in the area. In all publicity material be it hoardings or pamphlets, participants were promised goodie bag for Rs.4000.00. They felt cheated when they saw the goodies in the bag for not more Rs400 to Rs500. See most of the participants came for running for a cause for them cost of goodie bag hardly matters but making tall claim and not delivering is really bad.

Recently I traveled to Indonesia and surprised to learn that culturally Indonesian are very close to us. Even their food has certain commonality. And interestingly I come to know that our very own Idli has its origin in Indonesia. Let us start with religion. Searching Roots of Sir Elton John In Pinner ,London

Elton John is my most favorite singer. He is a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer all rolled into one. In terms of sales, he is the fourth-best-selling music artist worldwide . In 1998, he was knighted by British Queen this got ‘Sir’ title, but for music lover like me whether he is Sir or not a Sir , it is immaterial. Yesterday I was in Pinner Library and out of a conversation between two young ladies I come to know that this international rock sensation was born and brought up in this area only.
