These days, while I go for morning walk thorny bramble bushes on both side of walkway loaded with ripen blackberries draw attention . Very very tempting, I pick up a bunch of blackberries and eat every day during August and September.
Originally native to Europe, it has traveled world over. The farmers grow them across the United States all year round. They come from brambles, which are a type of thorny bush , here in Seattle area spread everywhere organically without any human intervention. In the month of August and September one should be ready to pick the ripen berries in his neighborhood.
Consumption of blackberries helps in improving health in many ways. It is a very rich source of a high level of vitamin C helping body to produce collagen and certain neurotransmitters.
Blackberries contain high levels of antioxidants, such as anthocyanins. Antioxidants help people to fight against the adverse impact of free radicals in the body. Blackberries also contain vitamin A. Blackberries also contain vitamin A. Blackberries are rich In fibre and contain both the types of fiber - soluble and insoluble . Fiber helps in regulating blood sugar levels and sugar consumption.
It is also suggested that blackberries improve cognitive and motor skills.
Apart from health benefits, it is very tasty, juicy. It gives you sweet and sour flavor in a single go. As long as it is available on the bushes, eat every day fresh , make jam for rest part of year.
