No Menu Restaurants
Usually when you arrive at a restaurant and get seated , the first thing offered to you is the menu card . But we will talk about two restaurants located in Seattle town, they do not have a menu card at all. Sounds interesting , but true. The history of restaurants in Seattle goes back to the 1870s when it was a lumber-rich port town.
The Filipino restaurant at Pike place has no set menu, as options change every day based on the chef's mood. This is good, just go there, sit and ask the waiter for "food". Thats it.The reason behind this is that the dishes are meant to fit the Filipinos' preferences. The chefs and waiters are Filipino, and the majority of the waitresses and cooks are Filipinos.
Another one is at West lake called Pasta Freska, famous for authentic Italian food.
This place is also incredible. There is no menu, but there are pictures of typical food items on the wall. The chefs come around and get your likes, dislikes, and can't haves, and cook based on that.
I am sure there could be many more such restaurants around the world.
