Seattle’s Hidden Gem : New Castle Golf Club

At The Golf Club New Castle

North West USA’s commercial city Seattle has a number of hidden Gems and The Golf Club in New Castle area is one such gem.

It is an experience to visit the place, even if you do not have basic skills of golf, you can enjoy wonderful experience . As it has a castle-like clubhouse, serving up breathtaking views of the Seattle Downtown skyscrapers and Space Needle. While roaming around the club house area, you will also be thrilled to enjoy stunning, panoramic views of Lake Washington, Mt. Rainier, the Olympic and Cascade Mountains.

This 36-hole golf club on the plateau on the top of lush green New Castle hill is definitely a pleasant experience. It was designed by Bob Cupp and spread on the slopes gently descending towards Coal Creek and China Creek covering 7,024 yard Area . Bobb while designing it , also took input from local hero Fred Couples. Its 300 feet of elevation change can make for a wild ride, and a quirky hole or two, but nobody beats the scener

I visited this Golf course in 2018, and pleasantly surprised to see its premium dining place called Calcutta Grill in the patio area of main building overlooking Puget Sound and Seattle Down Town area. We were not in formal attire so did not get entry , probably the strict dress code reminded us of British Raj !

Oh, Mamta Banerji kind of politicians have not yet  heard the name otherwise they would demanded changing its name to Kolkatta Grill! ha ha ha
