Is Huawei bigger threat than 59 Apps banned ?
Huawei is a very big Telecom giant from China and leader in next-generation 5G cellular network . Though Huawei claims that it is owned by the employees but world over it is felt that China’s government exerts invisible control over the country’s private businesses in many ways, some of them unofficial and never disclosed. Huawei executives have said repeatedly that they do not act on Beijing’s behalf. But absent the kind of constant, independent scrutiny that a publicly listed company would face, outsiders can only decide whether to take Huawei’s word for it.
The Governments world over suspect the snooping and enable them to shut remotely, if required be , through the G5 technology of this company. For example the United States government cracked down hard on Huawei. Lawmakers and intelligence officials in US have claimed the telecommunications giant could be exploited by the Chinese government for espionage, presenting a potentially grave national security risk, especially as the US builds out its next-generation 5G network. To meet that threat, officials say, they’ve blocked government use of the company’s equipment, while the Justice Department has also accused Huawei’s chief financial officer of violating sanctions against Iran, and the company itself of stealing trade secrets.
Similarly, the European Union told its members in the clear term that they should limit so-called high-risk 5G vendors, a category that includes the Chinese tech giant Huawei, but stopped short of recommending a ban on the firm, despite a lengthy and aggressive campaign by the Trump administration. In Denmark last month the company with the help of Chinese Government tried to bull-work and pressurize Danish Government. Huawei and the Chinese state seeking to pressure governments over their security decisions is very uncomfortable for the Chinese vendor. It comes as Denmark embarks on a review of its critical infrastructure policies in the light of vulnerabilities exposed by the coronavirus pandemic and could well have implications beyond that country.
On the other hand Huawei has been allowed for 5G trials in India, the Government Authorities need to review their decision looking at growing concern world over. It might rove bigger threat than the 59 Chinese Apps banned. Huawei in having bigger footprints in India, they are into mobile business also in a very big way, they are the fifth largest mobile set supplier in our country, world over they are the second largest.
