Power of Jungle Walk
I have just gone through a write-up in Time magazine dated 14th July 2016 titled "The Healing Power of Nature" by Alexandra Sifferlin, It has affirmed and expanded my understanding about the Jungles and their amazing healing power. It all started with a study carried out by Japanese researchers,at Chiba University they concluded that people who spent 40 minutes walking in a forest full of cdar trees have lower level of stress harmone coristol, which is largely involved in blood pressure and immune system function, they compared this with walking for 40 minutes in lab, the researcher Youshifumi Miyazaki said that spending time in the forest induces a state of physiologic relaxation. Another researcher Dr Qing Li found that trees and plants emit aromatic compounds called phytocides that when inhaled spurs healthy biological changes similar to aromatherapy.
