Unique way to protest Chinese Intrusion in Ladakh

This can only happen in India!  The neighboring country China's army unit sneaked deep into Ladakh and constructed structures. But government has guarded response. If the media would have not reported Government would have ignored it. What a shame, the country's prime minister rubbishing it as a localised event. Foreign Minister is also avoiding any strong reaction to this encroachment.  What is the overall reaction of people, they have a feel that it is the job of armed forces to protect border because huge expenditure on army is made by government from the tax collected. You would have expected that Blood of country's youth should boil on this kind of intrusion, but youth  enjoy opium of IPL, it is engrossed in the IPL matches live on big screens installed  in pubs, restaurants in the length and breadth of nation over a pint of beer or glass of hot spirit, where is the time left to think about nation.

A motley crowd of young, not so young people in Lokhandwala area in Mumbai decided to alight Holi of China made goods on sunday evening, normally in Mumbai this is the time when people start heading for family outing.

Pradeep Gupta, one of the person behind this event has given very strong reason to do so. He recollects 1962 when he was a 9-10 year old, China crossed the border and its troops marched upto Tejpur in Assam. India Army was not equipped with proper firearms, logistics, communication skill as well as matching numbers. But China under international pressure  retreated back. America and other western powers started air dispatching arms ammunition to India. No doubt it was a big jolt for the government, but the response of countrymen was very encouraging, Gupta recollects that old, young even newly wedded girls donated gold  generously to enable nation to equip itself militarily. In 1962, the feeling of oneness was great. But if you compare 1962 situation with that of 2013, our military's might and power now match with that of chinese , but people do not have that kind of national ferver. It is the right time to remind Indians that though our army is most modern, but apart from that we have now much more potent weapon i.e. growing   power of economy. We are 3rd or 4th big trading partner of China and in case India decides to snap business ties stops Chinese import, it will do more harm to China than firing machine guns or dropping Bombs or crossing their borders.

T Manvani Anand, the other active person behind the 'Buycott Chinese Goods Till the Withdraw' movement, feels that spirit of this symbolic Chinese Goods burning should reach to every countryman, people should make this as a National Movement.

Nikhil Kulkarni, who had been in USA, left that comfort zone, packed his bag and come back to India. He was also a part of symbolic Holi of Chinese
Goods feel that we as a nation should assert ourselves and should not bow down before anybody, we are progressing economically and we should use this as a potent weapon.

We also appreciate the traders of Rewari Haryana who have decided not to sell Chinese stuff to mark the Chinese intrusion. Need replication of similar protest in each city and each village.
