Now a days in almost ever other bollywood film you will find a song
wherein firang or desi girls in two piece bikini suit dancing to the
aadhi desi aadhi foreign churned song tune with our bare chest hero.
As far as heroines are concern leave aside Mallika Sherawat (Khawish,
Murder, Bach Ke Rehna Re Baba) , Bipasa Basu (Dhoom II), Celina Jaitly
(Janasheen), Neha Dhupia (Qayamat, Julie) still others still avoid to
bare to such extant. Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta do not think
they may. Aishwarya Rai never thought of it…but Dhoom 2 was ofcourse a
different titillating story. Esha Deol almost wore one in Dhoom I, but
either she or Mamma objected so it rapped with sarong. Kareena Kapoor
have agreed to micro short in Tashan.

But, agar hum beete hue kal kee baat Karen, then we shall find Chote
Nawab's mother Sharmila Tagore as the original bikini girl. In
sixties, she had created almost a bhuchal not only in the industry but
also in Parliament. Those were the days of film Evening in Paris. If
we go little back to fifties, Nutan was seen in Dilli ka Thug in one
piece, Nargis were seen in Awara with Raj Kapoor in beachside
garments and so Vaijantimala in Sangam. In seventies Parveen Babi was
seen in bikini in almost every film in which she acted. Zeenat did not
hesitate to appear in two piece in Don, Qurbani and Great Gambler and
ofcourse Dimple Kapadia in Bobby.

Big question is, when our heroines are prepared to do intimate love
scenes to vulgar shots then what obstruct them to appear in bikini. To
me it is like .that to wear two piece the actress has to work really
really hard to get absolutely bikini fit body. So hear lies a valid
point against wearing two piece bikini by most of the heroines in
films !

A Peep Into Life Of A Stand-up Comedian - Punit Pania

I met Punit Pania yesterday at Independence Brewing Company. an happening watering hole in Lokhandwala area just before his stand-up comedy act. In fact he was generous enough to share his space with The Book  Club event on first floor of pub, he shared his journey from a safe Corporate Den to the wild world of stand-up comedians. Punit is a Non-Gujju born and broughtup in Gujju dominated Society in Kandivali East as a protected child, where his parents did not allow him to travel any place beyond the reach of auto rikshaw ! Elton John is my most favorite singer. He is a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer all rolled into one. In terms of sales, he is the fourth-best-selling music artist worldwide . In 1998, he was knighted by British Queen this got ‘Sir’ title, but for music lover like me whether he is Sir or not a Sir , it is immaterial.
