SANDY DEAR ! Whatever You Do, The Show Will Go On-Saluting Spirit of USA

Image
For the second night in a row, superstorm Sandy and its aftermath forced David Letterman to live out that performer's nightmare: Telling jokes to a vacant theater, or as he called it, "a big ol' empty barn." Letterman hosting the "Late Show" to an unpeopled Ed Sullivan Theater on Tuesday, as he did on Monday, was the oddest sight of the considerable and continuing cultural fallout of the hurricane that left New York institutions like Broadway, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center no more open for business than the city's damaged subway system. But the New York entertainment industry was fighting to go on with the show, and none more than several of the city's late-night shows. Though "The Colbert Report" and "The Daily Show" canceled tapings for the second day, the "Late Show," Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night" and a traveling out-of-towner, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," went ahead with shows Tuesday...

What is Augmented Reality

Image
Augmented reality, or AR, may finally be coming of age. Combining the digital and physical worlds, an augmented reality offer brands a unique new opportunity to interact with consumers. Recently, The Times of India created an interesting augmented reality campaign for Atria Convergence Technologies,  a broadband provider ACT’s main markets are Bang...

They have rarely compromised on contents as well as ethics. They have just launched  a new advertising campaign – ‘Classroom’.  This campaign expresses The Hindu’s point of view on yet another issue simmering among Indian youth.  This time, the paper turns the spotlight on Indian politicians; specifically, on the poor example of governance that is being set for a brand new generation. It’s often said that the future of India rests on young shoulders. However, this generation is largely disillusioned by the way the nation is run. With very few political icons to look up to, if any, there exists a real danger of the country not attracting the best and brightest of the generation to lead it towards prosperity and glory. The campaign, conceptualised by Ogilvy & M...
