tHE dARK kNIGHT : HOLLYWOOD MOVIE

Image
Today I saw latest hollywood movie 'The Dark Knight' , it may be sort of sequel of 1989 Batman Begins. The character of Batman as well Joker has been developed in it more intricately, Jokers's actions are spine chilling this time.No doubt, 'The Dark Knigh't is extraordinary, an amazing piece of filmmaking that rockets the Batman legacy to heights never imagined, fueled by Heath Ledger's amazing re-invention of The Joker. After re-invigorating the Batman movie franchise by taking him back to his beginnings three years ago, director Christopher Nolan again tweaks the superhero movie genre and turns it on its ear with this riveting and brilliantly executed sequel. You could safely say this is The Godfather II of comic-book movies because at its dark heart it really plays like a crime movie, more L.A. Confidential than Iron Man. Joining a triumvirate to eviscerate crime in Gotham City, Batman (Christian Bale) teams with Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and crusad...

KISMAT KONNECTION : FILM REVIEW

Image
Kismat Konnection is a feel-good NRI love stories having a customary Indian narration in some foreign location. The kinds where every person the hero even randomly stumbles upon speaks to him in Hindi. Remember Raj malhotra! it is a name fixed eternally in films from Chopra Camp. Red Chillies has adopted the same hero's name, same NRI Lubho business model, of course cheaper as instead of locales of America shot in Toranto (canada) shoot The kinds where the hero is still named as Raj Malhotra. Where's the story you ask? Left to chance.. fate, destiny, luck or Kismat as you may call it. Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) is the university topper but somehow luck isn't favouring him. Five years post graduation he is still jobless and waiting for his first assignment as an architect. Kismet connects as he comes across Priya (Vidya Balan) who happens to be his lucky charm. In her presence even the impossible turns achievable for Raj. Raj desperately seeks her company in all his endea...

Image
I had recently received a red color Member ID card alongwith a commie kind of letter , for a moment I thought that either CPI or CPM has coopted me as a cardholder, but closer scrutiny revealed that it is an inviattion for KAAN MIRCHI AWARD for creative radio commercials/ public interest campaigns. This is the fifth year in a row, by now the advertising fraternity eagerly awaits these awards. Opening Scene/ stage at Grand Hyaatt Balroom was almost like communist party adhiveshan, and the advertising fraternity crowd was also looking like young party workers: cat calls shouting, cheering reminded me highscool annual function. Initiated in the year 2004 by Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Mirchi Kaan Awards is the only awards for honouring creative excellence in radio advertising. This year organisers recevied overwhelming response with more than 700 entries across 15 categories. India's leading advertising firms battled it out with each other for the Gold, Silver & Bronze award which ...
